What do they have in common?

What do allergies, obesity, and vitamin D deficiency all have in common?

They are all common problems in our country. A small study done on children ages 10-18 years old, found that heavier kids had more allergies l than the normal weight kids.

Other studies have shown that lower levels of vitamin D are linked with obesity. A surprising finding in the study was that low vitamin D levels were also associated with higher allergy levels.

We need more research to help us understand the link between obesity, allergies, and low levels of vitamin D. Until then, it is still important to make sure that you and your child's are getting enough vitamin D.
