Dr. Edith Pilzer recently retired as a pediatric gastroenterologist after serving Georgia’s children for over 32 years. Her special interest was caring for the children who have cystic fibrosis and their families.

An important part of taking care of kids with cystic fibrosis is making sure they are getting all the nutrients they need, and that those nutrients are absorbed properly. That means balancing their diet and their <<PERT>>. When they aren't eating enough, Dr. Edith Pilzer, formerly a pediatric gastroenterologist at GI Care for Kids in Atlanta, lets parents know that tube feedings may provide part of the answer.
