Kids need fiber to keep their intestines healthy and the bacteria inside keep their bodies healthy too. But they often don't get enough. Dr. Oliva-Hemker, Director of Pediatric Gastroenterology and Nutrition at Johns Hopkins University, spoke to an audience of physicians and dietitians at a symposium co-sponsored by Nutrition4Kids and The Children's Care Network or Children's Healthcare of Atlanta, to help them understand the importance of fiber for kids and how they can get it.
