Sarah Henes PhD, RDN, LD

Sarah Henes PhD, RDN, LD has been a Registered Dietitian for over 26 years, in clinical and community nutrition. She has expertise in helping families and children/teens manage a healthy weight and a healthy lifestyle, together as a family. She currently serves as the State Coordinator for the University of Georgia Expanded Food and Nutrition Education Program ( UGA EFNEP), and is also an Assistant Professor.  Her research interests include community and clinical research, nutrition education for promoting health/nutrition behavior changes, and nutrition interventions that help  families and youth with overweight and obesity.  Sarah also serves as the Director for the Research Committee in the Weight Management Dietetic Practice Group (WM DPG) with the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.
