-How to ensure your baby does not choke while he/she is eating
Always stay with your child when she is eating. NEVER leave your eating child unattended.
Always insist on your child sitting up and eating in the same safe highchair where you can see her.
Choking can happen anytime. When your child grazes or puts things in her mouth, you may not see when she needs your assistance. Never offer or serve food when a baby or toddler is playing, walking, or in the car.
As soon as she is able, teach your child to chew food thoroughly before swallowing.
Always remove bones, seeds, peels and pits from your child's food.
Take a CPR/blocked airway class to learn the correct procedures for choking rescue.
